It's a Cosby Sweater!

Lance Mountain wore a "Cosby Sweater" in Animal Chin.
See this and more by visiting what could possibly turn into the coolest Web site on the Web :www.lancemountain.com

I'm Geeked.

25mm Lens=Self Portraits at 7am.

Put it in your pocket and always have it with you=random photos while riding shotgun.

I'm geeked, I found a Panasonic FX35 "Demo" through B&H photo. That means "open box special".

Which means I'm broke now, but I have a camera I can put in my pocket and take EVERYWHERE I go.

Oh yes, this ought to be fun.

Steve friggin' Berra...

34 Seconds into the video Steve is skating my old stomping grounds.
That set of stairs gave me more sprained ankles then I care to remember.
The "Wendy's Gap" is also in my home town and is insane...

Natas was the best.

PVC was always a struggle to slide.

Check out the launch ramp rail slide at 58 seconds in.

By the way, I know I've been slacking and haven't posted one damn photograph of my own in quite sometime.

I promise fun and festive photos after the July 4th holiday weedend.

Early Morning Duncan Creek Sunday Session.

Matt, 5-0 all the way down the ledge.

Dylan Sliding the long rail. Dylan later declared. "Man that fence is awful close to this rail."

Happy Fathers Day

AS ALWAYS CLICK THE PHOTO TO ENLARGE:

I about shed a tear after I took this. The kid took a big slam, almost came to a stop, and then bumped the tip of his nose. No blood, just tears....

Happy Dad Day to all the Fatherly figures I know, My Dad, My Bro Matt, Bro in Law Kelly, Bro in Law Ryan, Hubbard, Wes, Thrasher, Rick and of course Cory.

GUMPTION

I was just getting homesick when I remembered what my friends back home in good ol' Lincoln Nebraska get to skate on the daily...

This seriously is worst place I have ever legally skated.

I understand how hard everyone has worked to make these two places happen. I'm not knocking it, I damn sure wish they would have existed when I was growing up in Lincoln.

That said, if there ever was a time for me to look back and say, "I wish I knew then what I know now" it would be this moment.

Ok, here's my rant: Linconites, you can't take this crap any longer! You need a concrete skateboard park!

I was recently reminded after "noticing" a four foot quarter pipe and a very nicely constructed ledge near downtown Athens that there is something we as skateboards all posses and that's gumption.

Build it.... even if you only have it for a few weeks it's worth the work. Oh and for god sakes don't tell anyone your building it!!!

Find a spot, dig, pour, skate.

Someone please pour some damn concrete in Lincoln......

Bikes, Boards.. but no Blades!

Duncan Creek is now open for your skateboarding pleasure. But please remember kids,
NO SCOOTERS, NO RIP STICKS!
And if your parents give you a helmet like this, throw it away and get one that protects the soft spot on the back of your head!

Nack Nack

Raise your rock fist and scream it with me!

SCHOOLS OUT FOR THE SUMMER!!!

Tuesday, May 6, 2008

Patio at SPOA's South Shore.

I still really like this photo. With digital photography being such a fleeting endeavor it has really taken away much of the time that I use to have between taking the photo and having it printed or "published" as it may be.

That time often allowed me to separate myself from the images and draw a better conclusion as to which photos should be shown and which photos should be trashed.

The editing I use to do over a five day period in the dark room often is now a five minute job with the computer. I'm not complaining, it's just a different way of working, and I'm finding that faster is not always better.

Just wanted to thank everyone who came out to my opening Friday night.

A big congratulations and high five goes out to Rick "66" Stanziale for making the shop a reality! Can you believe it's only been one month?
