Five Guys Tour 08

We got a posse yo....

Can't mess with The Five Guy Crew.

Check out more photos from the day tour at Georgia Skater.

RATM does CH.

Ahhh yaaaaa BOYYYYYY!!!!!!

I keep forgetting that Rage is back.

Funny, I wonder why I never listen to them anymore? Oh ya I have a CD player instead of a tape deck in my car now!

Gotta make a trip to Wuxtry's and see if they have any used.

Bikes, Boards.. but no Blades!

Duncan Creek is now open for your skateboarding pleasure. But please remember kids,
NO SCOOTERS, NO RIP STICKS!
And if your parents give you a helmet like this, throw it away and get one that protects the soft spot on the back of your head!

YOU MUST....

...KNOW YOUR HISTORY!

Reminiscing....

Seems like this was YEARS ago.
Feb. 2007, The Atlanta Skate Park Tour.

Wezel, Sugi, and Alex on deck.

Wezel + mini= rippage.

Dylan was done for the day.

Have you ever rode this bowl? Clacka, clacka, clacka goes the wheels...... Some how Alfredo still got gnar.

LIKE A RAY OF SUNSHINE

I have just made your day brighter..

Nack Nack

Raise your rock fist and scream it with me!

SCHOOLS OUT FOR THE SUMMER!!!

Patio at SPOA's South Shore.

I still really like this photo. With digital photography being such a fleeting endeavor it has really taken away much of the time that I use to have between taking the photo and having it printed or "published" as it may be.

That time often allowed me to separate myself from the images and draw a better conclusion as to which photos should be shown and which photos should be trashed.

The editing I use to do over a five day period in the dark room often is now a five minute job with the computer. I'm not complaining, it's just a different way of working, and I'm finding that faster is not always better.

Thanks

Just wanted to thank everyone who came out to my opening Friday night.

A big congratulations and high five goes out to Rick "66" Stanziale for making the shop a reality! Can you believe it's only been one month?

Second View

Sorry, I haven't been back to the park since Tuesday.

More Air..

Josh Air

Merle H.

This is how it always goes with me when I get in a mood.

I tried finding a video of Merle singing Fightin' Side of Me on the web but ended up with this sad lonely song about just livin' life as best you can.

Very fitting I think.

Enough with the serious stuff though. I would have loved to be in the "green room" with Merle and the boys just before they took to the stage.

Chain Link!!!!

Bags of Cheetos were chasing me.....

Get to GET GNAR!

Ghost to Most as seen by Jason Thrasher.

A Ghost To Most

I'm always humbled by Jason's commitment to a project.
Congrats on the video!

More from the other day.

Dave comes out at night.

The sun had set, but Dave wanted to get a couple of grinds in.

Sometimes it hurts...

Sometimes, pads don't even help.
Heal Paul, HEAL!!!!

SSOA!

Skate Shop of Athens
GRAND OPENING MAY 3rd!
50 Gaines School Rd.

Stu Graham Goes Pro...

This is one promotion that is well deserved... Stu is the definition of "Gnar".

Skateboarding is a crime.... most of the time.

I use to really despise signs like this. A little part of me would just shake every time I'd see one. Much of my adult life I have felt that being a skater has made me unacceptable by society, parents, government officials and places where I do business.

Living in Athens and having a skate park practically in my backyard has given me a different outlook. I now realize these signs are probably the best advertising one could ask for.

Classic City Roller Girls Rock!

Checked out the Classic City Roller Girls bout last night at the Roller Rink.
This is some seriously good family fun!

Art related skateboards?

Art came before skateboarding, that much I will admit.

Proceed with an open mind to The Solitary Arts.
Don't miss out on the glorious Mini-Skate Shop.

Hump day.

Thomas was landing to flat over the pyramid.
So was Josh.
Zach just couldn't pull this off, but I'm posting it anyway. He'll probably use it to impress the ladies...

Candler likes dogs. Who knew?

Don Pendleton

I can't count the number of boards I have had with Don's art on it. His work is some of the most consistent out there.

This is going to be very inspirational.
